We started MakeMine in 2018 after watching the same thing happen to brand after brand. The product was good. The demand was real. And the founder was spending fifteen hours a week chasing factories across email, WhatsApp, and time zones — hunting through threads for a quote, finding out a sample came back wrong only after it landed on their desk.
The traditional model made it worse. Sourcing agents are built on information asymmetry; they guard factory details because their margin depends on it. The people doing the producing knew everything, and the people who owned the brand knew almost nothing.
We built MakeMine to close that gap: take production off the founder's plate, and give them more visibility into it than they ever had before. Managed production plus a platform you can actually see into — that pairing is still the whole point.
